One day, a mysterious man named Mr. Wilson, a friend of Terry’s father, arrives to live in their barn, which has been converted into a livable space. From the beginning, Terry feels something unsettling about Mr. Wilson, who has a creepy demeanor and a reputation in the town for being dangerous—rumored to have killed his wife after returning from the war.
As Terry tries to convince his family that Mr. Wilson is not to be trusted, his parents dismiss his concerns, leaving him feeling isolated and fearful. One night, after witnessing Mr. Wilson standing ominously in front of his mother’s bed, Terry’s fear escalates.
